In a true “hero’s journey”, kids enter into a special world of imagination and play to access their most inspirational vision of themselves. Through a literacy immersion, contemplation, creative arts, and character building adventure challenges, kids imagine and design themselves into a real life superhero.
Imagination transforms into courageous leadership when these heroes develop their unique superpowers to share in real world contexts for community uplift. Each hero does something unique to their powers, whether it’s Lightning Ninja’s joyful puppet show for other kids, Dance Party’s powers used to get elders moving, or Miss Miracle’s poems for office staff, a super boost of confidence in their creative purpose makes kids feel powerful.
Enter the Supervillains – the cunning and hilarious antagonists that sabotage heroes with sneaky tricks and action packed play. Supervillains are exaggerations of common human challenges, customized to reflect the internal challenges of the kids. Whether it’s the Discourager who dashes dreams, Mindbender who twists the truth, or the frantic antics of socially anxious Uh Oh! and Oh No!, these costumed villains offer direct challenges and take the immersive play to the next level.
Heroes must learn how to champion their own internal challenges, as well as develop creative and nonviolent ways to transform the villains back into their best selves. In a final all day epic adventure, heroes face of against villains in an unknown landscape for an unforgettable day of immersive play.
